Being recognized among the Best Places to Work in Indiana – a hard-working state filled with so many excellent companies – is an incredible honor. But being named the #1 place to work, in a year in which we moved from the Small Companies up to the Medium category, is downright indescribable.
As we have grown from a folding table in a garage almost 20 years ago into 80+ people and around 20,000 square feet of office space today, the list of perks has grown as well – things such as regular company lunches, golf outings, tickets for the Colts/Pacers/Indians/Fuel/Eleven, reimbursement for memberships at gyms, zoos and museums, and others too numerous to list here.
But those tangible benefits are just indicators of something that is more difficult to quantify – the continued commitment to people and relationships on which the company was originally founded. We did not set out to be recognized as the best place to work in Indiana – we set out to treat people the way people should be treated in the day to day, knowing that great things would follow.
We are grateful to God for the privilege of having any business at all, but we are truly blessed to be doing business among such tremendous friends and family. It is quite an endorsement to have Best Companies Group recognize these principles that we value so much and the impact they have had on our workplace.
We also would like to congratulate our fellow honorees from this year’s celebration. Indiana may not be the biggest state or be home to the largest cities, but we feel it is second to none when it comes to the quality of businesses and the sense of camaraderie, even among competitors in the same industry. We are very humbled to be included on a list with so many other great companies – several of which we have had the privilege to work with over the years.
